About

Widnes Quiet Flyers is a club dedicated to quiet flight encompassing electrically powered aircraft and gliders. Referring to electrically powered models all branches are catered for covering 'Park Flyers' to 'Full House' sport aerobatic machines and within the club there is a wealth of knowledge and experience on this subject.

Gliding within the club is of the 'Flat Field' Thermal Soaring Variety, launch generally being achieved by bungee hi-start which is available to club members.

Flying training is available within the club and whilst Mode 2 seems to be the most commonly used mode of transmitter configuration, there are Mode 1 flyers in the club should this be required.

Flying takes place on an enclosed sports filed which is available for use on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

The Club is affiliated to the B.M.F.A (British Model Flying Association) and has two registered examiners relative to the achievement scheme operated by the B.M.F.A.
